Ferne McCann Opens Up About Being A Single Mum In Candid Interview

The Essex girl gets emotional as she discusses her pregnancy...

Former TOWIE star turned TV presenter Ferne McCann shocked fans in April by revealing she was pregnant.

She learnt the news just days before her ex-boyfriend and baby’s father, Arthur Collins, was connected to an acid attack in an east London nightclub.

Now the 26-year-old has opened up about preparing for life as a single mum.

Ferne’s revealed that the pregnancy wasn’t planned, telling OK!: ‘Initially I was devastated.

Ferne opened up to Holly and Phil on This Morning

‘What I had planned and was getting excited about had disappeared in a matter of moments. It was so hard to deal with what happened but then I realised it was not about me but about my child.

‘I’ll do my best for my baby. I never feel lonely as I have my baby.’

Despite keeping positive, Ferne is understandably emotional about the situation.

She continues: ‘Just sitting here talking about it makes me feel emotional, just contemplating what a life-changing experience I’ve been through.

‘I have shed tears, but I always try to keep it to myself. But because of the situation I’m in, I have tried to keep those moments to myself.’

The bubbly Essex girl even admitted: ‘I could burst into tears right now.’

Ferne’s revealed her due date: ‘I’m due mid to late November,’ and discussed finding out the sex of her baby: ‘I’m not finding out. I want it to be a surprise. It doesn’t matter as long as the baby is healthy.

‘Although I’m adamant I’m having a boy. I read up online about all the symptoms.’

We can’t wait for Ferne to welcome her beautiful baby into the world. She’s going to be a wonderful mum.
