The names behind the red carpets looks that you need to know (but probably haven't heard of just yet...)

There’s so much more to creating a red carpet moment than meets the eye – as these celebrity hair stylists, make up artists, manicurists and stylist’s Instagram accounts show. Being part of a glam squad is one thing but ensuring their clients are camera-ready 24/7 for the week-long affair on the French Riviera is another.

With the 70th Cannes Film Festival already in motion we thought it we’d collate the accounts you’ll get the best view from. Go behind the scenes with eight of the most talented creatives in Cannes and see the en-route to the lift photoshoots that become magazine covers…

Samantha McMillen
Stylist, 23k followers

LA based stylist Samantha’s clients include Brie Larson, Charlie Hunnam and Evan Rachel Wood but this season her star to watch is Elle Fanning who is already crushing it on the red carpet. We loved this amazing Westwood Couture gown that she debuted on Cannes opening night and can’t wait to see more of her looks over this weekend.

Mary Greenwell
Make Up Artist, 62.7K

Mary’s the make up artist on call to the likes of Felicity Jones, Cate Blanchett and Jessica Chastain sharing top tips and inspiration behind each look on her instagram. If you like a red lip Mary’s a must-follow!

Dayaryci
Hair Stylist, 38.3K Followers

Dayaruci has worked with everyone. Quite literally, from Zoella to Kim Kardashian West and once you’ve seen his Insta you’ll see why. Super talented he goes from fashion editorials to red carpets with ease – if you’re after some weekend hair inspo he’s always our go-to.

Kate Young’s client-list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood with everyone from Oscar winner Natalie Portman to Selena Gomez. Kate’s major Cannes moment was when she styled Sienna Miller in a totally dreamy kite-inspired Valentino Haute Couture gown last season. Her insta’s filled with designer samples (these Dior jewels 😍), behind the scenes snaps and up-close details from looks before they make their red carpet debut.

Loreal Severine
Manucurist, 532 Followers

Relatively new to Insta, Loreal’s page will certainly be on the rise after this weekend. This week alone she’s given manicures to Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon and Elle Fanning ahead of them hitting the red carpet.

Elizabeth Stewart

Stylist, 58.3K Followers

We love Elizabeth’s amazing style and how real her snaps are. You can rely on her for raw, bustling, behind the scenes snippets from the biggest events. With clients including Jessica Chastain, Gal Gadot and Viola Davis, Elizabeth really gives you a sense of what goes into creating ‘the moment.’ A quick 5 minute DIY shoot by a hotel lift at Cannes has already ended up on the cover of a magazine…

Stephane Lancien
Hair Stylist, 30.1K Followers

This year marks Stephane’s sixth year at Cannes. With the task of keeping the hair of iconic actresses like Susan Sarandon and Julianne Moore in check throughout the festival he’s not shy of showing his range with a mix of tousled locks and sleek buns – we can’t wait to see more looks from him over the weekend.

Sandrine Cano Bock
Make Up Artist, 2,378 Followers

After following Sandrine for a little bit we’ve concluded that she’s the queen of the smoky eye. Seriously noone does one quite like her. Currently at Cannes with Lily Rose Depp her Insta is full of Glossier hauls and cover shoots she’s worked on.
