When we saw Meghan Markle kissing her boyfriend Prince Harry at the polo last week, we did a proper ‘proud face’. It being the couple’s first official engagement, it sent out a clear message, with our own LOOK attendee revealing that the couple appeared more in love than ever.
‘Meghan feels totally ready to go public with Harry and take on the responsibilities that come with that,’ says our royal insider. ‘Her initial fears of losing her own identity have gone. Stepping out with Harry was a real indicator that their relationship is strong enough to withstand the public interest. She knows he’s The One.’

Harry, who we’re told didn’t expect Meghan to attend the polo with him, is completely smitten with the Suits actress. ‘He’s been very open with everyone around him that Meghan’s a keeper, says
our source. ‘The polo was his way of showing off his girlfriend and letting anyone who’s tried to break them know they’re more than OK.’
Yeah, we’re officially pretty jel! The polo was a big deal for another reason, however. Fans were quick to compare the images to ones of Kate and Wills at the same event back in 2009, only months before they announced their engagement.

And while we’re told the big proposal has already happened, the humble pair have kept quiet so they can enjoy a little more time out of the spotlight. It’s also so as not to offend Pippa Middleton, 33, who marries her hedge fund manager beau James Matthews this Saturday – another event Meghan and Harry are expected to attend together.
‘Meghan’s ready to announce the engagement within a week,’ says our source. ‘She’s told friends she and Harry want to do it in their own time, but at last she feels ready to celebrate the relationship publicly.’
