Wishful thinking perhaps...

We’ve all been on the edge of our seats waiting for more baby news from Cheryl.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the first sighting of the new mum ever since she announced the birth of her son, which she welcomed with boyfriend Liam Payne in March.
More specifically, fans have been getting excited about the possibility of seeing the Geordie walk the red carpet in Cannes. Well, she has become a seasoned favourite of the lavish event.

Following the birth, we thought we might be getting our first glimpse of Cheryl post-baby at the prestigious Cannes Film festival, which Chezza attends every year as the brand ambassador for L’Oreal.
This year marks the 70th of the famous film festival in France, and it’s due to take place between the 17th and 28th of May.
But sadly L’Oreal have now confirmed that the former Girls Aloud singer won’t be walking the red carpet this year. A spokesperson for the brand said: ‘Having only given birth less than one month ago, Cheryl will not be attending Cannes Film Festival 2017 with L’Oreal Paris.’

A source has reportedly spoken out on Cheryl’s decision to ditch the annual event, telling MailOnline: ‘Cheryl only gave birth last month so understandably it is too soon for her to return to work.’
They added: Cheryl has always attended Cannes with L’Oreal Paris in her role as spokesmodel but there is no way she is going to leave the country with a new born baby. L’Oreal Paris are incredibly supportive of her decision.’
This will be the first time in seven years that Chezza will be missing the event, where she usually steals the show with her gorgeous gowns and flawless beauty looks.
But we, of course, understand that we might not be getting an appearance for a while, due to her new family commitments.
Whilst we’re a little sad that we won’t get to see one of our fave A-listers at the glitzy red carpet event, we’re happy for her new life ‘living in a love bubble.’
