...and they're pretty damn excited

We’ve officially had the first play of Harry Styles’ solo single. AHHH.
The 23-year-old singer debuted Sign Of The Times on Radio 1’s Breakfast Show this morning. And we’re not sure if it’s what we expected, but we enjoyed it A LOT. Listen here for yourself…

It’s a bit indie and a bit emosh – and that husky voice. *Wipes brow*.
Of course, fans are currently feeling a lot of feels.
Comments on Twitter include: ‘DO YOU HEAR MY TEARS I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! #signofthetimes #HS1isComing,’ ‘IT’S BEAUTIFUL @Harry_Styles #SignOfTheTimes,’ and: ‘It’s my first time hearing this song and it’s not even over and I already have a tattoo idea…. I love you to death @Harry_Styles [sic].’

A few Tweeters have even compared him to David Bowie, with one writing: ‘Feels very #DavidBowie inspired #signofthetimes @Harry_Styles love it [sic].’
Crikey. Well, it was never going to go down quietly, was it?

Harry Styles is co-hosting today’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw
As well as giving us our first listen of the track, Harry’s also co-hosting the show with pal Nick Grimshaw.
He’s opened up about writing his album, telling Nick: ‘I started the album end of Feb last year for about three weeks, and then had to stop for about five months when I went to do a movie [Dunkirk]. I came back to it in July and finished writing it in December.
‘It gave me a chance to completely step away from it for a bit and have a real break. By the end of the movie, because we were swimming so much I just wanted to write songs.
‘I think we wrote about 70 songs – we did 50 songs and ideas in Jamaica and that’s including like little ideas. Well full songs, I say there are 30 songs probably. One of the songs on the album, I wrote a few years ago.’
We couldn’t be more excited for you, Hazza. And we think we know what we’re going to have on loop today…
