It’s fair to say that the past few weeks have been a bit of a biggie for Liam Payne.
Not only has he welcomed his first son into the world, but the 1D fella has also taken the press by storm with the news that he is about to announce another major feat…
Everyone, try to remain calm.
Back in October of last year, you may remember that Liam had taken to his Instagram to share a promo snap of what was believed to be his upcoming solo single.
Captioned simply ‘#lovefeelsbest’, which we’re assuming is the title of his brand spankin’ new solo tune, Liam managed to throw fans into a frenzy over exactly when we’d be hearing his solo.
However, talk surrounding the emergence of Liam’s single soon became slightly hushed – ya’know, what with him being slightly preoccupied by having a baby with Cheryl and all that.
But now that baby Chiam has made his big appearance, it would appear that Liam’s single is very close to dropping – with an unnamed source speculating that we could expect to hear it by as soon as next month.
Yup, this is not a drill.
The reported source has shared with New York Post’s Page Six that Liam ‘should have a single out in May’, which is just a matter of WEEKS away. Eek.
If true, it will make Liam the final member of the One Direction lads to release some solo material – with Harry believed to be releasing his debut song this week.
TBH, we don’t know about you, but we think it’s only fair that Liam releases his tune as soon as.

Liam has a bit of a knack for announcing things via social media – having taken to Instagram to announce the arrival of his son at the end of March.
Liam wrote: ‘I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far’.
After an eventful few weeks, lets all pray to the Gods of One Direction for a Liam Payne solo single to hit up our playlists ASAP.
