Megan McKenna’s Break-Up Gets Upstaged By, Er, Her Eyelash

Megan went through a heartbreaking split with Pete Wicks on last night's TOWIE, but all viewers could think about was her loose falsie

Last night’s TOWIE was an emotional one for Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks.

We finally saw their break-up play out on screen, weeks after they revealed IRL that things had come to an end.

It was clear early on that things were headed for heartbreak, when Pete admitted to co-star Chloe Sims that he didn’t think Megan was over his texting scandal.

Things hit a speed bump for the couple last year, when it was revealed that Pete had been messaging his ex-girlfriend Jacqui Ryland behind Megan’s back.

He said: ‘I feel a bit numb at the minute. After what happened… she’s tried to forget it but she can’t. I love her but I don’t think she’s in love with me anymore. She’s not been in love with me since it happened.’

Chloe replied: ‘If she can’t forgive you, she needs to let you go.’

The pair later had it out, with Megan telling Pete: ‘I love you but I don’t feel the same.’

When he replied: ‘You’re not in love with me,’ Megan appeared to agree, leading Pete to say goodbye and leave the room. Waaah.

Of course, viewers were heartbroken. Tweets included: ‘Last nights towie got me so emosh, that conversation with Pete and Megan was intense ,’ and: ‘I think my heart just broke into two for Megan an Pete #towie [sic].’

But others had something else on their mind. Namely Megan’s, er, false eyelash.

That eyelash got almost as much as attention as Megan McKenna’s break-up…

They couldn’t help noting that the falsie was slipping off her eye. Which was understandable, TBH, considering she was crying her eyes out.

One eagle-eyed viewer Tweeted: ‘I was so focused on the fact Megan’s eyelash was hanging off that I had to rewind to listen to the convo.. ,’ while another said: ‘I feel sorry for Megan Mckenna but I really want to give her some eyelash glue rn [sic].’

LOLz. We think she may have had more important things on her mind, y’know?
