The Love Island Stars Give Their Two Cents On Jess And Dom’s Engagement

They revealed their happy news on the cover of OK!, with Jess telling the publication: ‘It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards [on 4 September]. We were staying in a lovely apartment in London.

‘Dom had filled it with flowers and had got us a bottle of champagne. I was doing a Snapchat video saying how lucky I felt when he called me out onto the terrace. I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee – he said afterwards that he has never seen me smile like that!’

Now their LI co-stars have given their two cents on the impending wedding.

Kem Cetinay – who won the show with girlfriend Amber Davies – tells Metro: ‘I wasn’t necessarily surprised. Dom has always said that he was the type of person who would want to get married, that’s just the way he is.

‘Don’t get me wrong, people might say it’s soon but if it’s right for them then that’s all that matters. I will give them a call ASAP, because it is quite cute.’

Gabby is smitten with co-star Marcel Somerville

However, Gabby Allen sounds a little miffed that Jess and Dom will beat her and beau Marcel Somerville to the altar.

She tells The Sun: ‘Every time I’m with Dom and Jess they are very much in love and it didn’t surprise me if I’m honest, but I was a bit like: “Oh.”

‘It’s just one of those things, when you’re in our situation things do move at a different pace and being in the villa and then coming out everything is fast-tracked almost.

‘It doesn’t mean they have to get married tomorrow. But if that was his way of proving to her and everyone else that he wants to be with her for the rest of his life then fair enough and the ring is great.’
