This is major.

There have been rumours for quite some time about a suspected make up line by Rihanna, but so far we’ve just been playing the guessing game. That is until the singer finally took to Instagram last month to announce a release date for her upcoming range FentyBeauty.
Yep, the world domination continues. In the post she teased the drop date, which will be 12am, 8th September 2017 and, very kindly included where her range will be stocked. Luckily for us it’s going to be available globally and we can get our hands on it in UK store Harvey Nichols. Hallelujah.
There has been speculation about what kind of products she would create if she ever did have her own line. We’re picturing some pretty fierce palettes, lipsticks in every shade under the sun and some sort of highlighter that we definitely, really need.
Two days ago Riri posted the ad for her line and boy is it good. Corals, nudes, browns, golds and a hell of a lot of gloss are showcased on models from different ethnicities. It’s the first real glimpse we’ve managed to get of what products she will have on offer.
One thing’s for sure, we are expecting a serious gloss comeback in the wake of this drop. One of the models is also wearing a glittering, gold eyeshadow which we’ll be adding to our shopping cart rather swiftly. So far the video has had nearly 3 million views.
Her next teaser was another video, this time talking us through some of her pretty bad ass shade names. And yes, they’re very Rihanna. Chilli Mango, Trophy Wife, Yacht Life and Confetti are just some of them and we can only imagine what others are to come.
Finally she got down to business and FINALLY posted a close up picture of her Killawatt Highlight Duo in shades Ginger Binge and Moscow Mule. Both look like the butteriest, perfectly peachy shades ever. Maybe this is what we’ve been missing and now we’ll finally be able to achieve Rihanna’s ever present goddess like glow. Our cheekbones are tingling just thinking about it.
Rihanna has always been quite vocal about racial diversity and inclusiveness, because of this we are expecting to see a pretty broad shade range and it is something we are very excited about it.
And it seems like this is something else people are celebrating. One fan created an illustration showing four girls, all of different races using Fenty Beauty. She shared the drawing with her followers, captioning it: ‘I am so in love with this! Thank you @ldochev for showing the diversity that @fentybeauty embodies through your art!!! We love you! ❤’ Cute.
Her final post is pretty sci-fi and seems to be a video of floating particles – we can only assume this is some sort of blusher/bronzer duo? All the teasers are driving us a bit mad tbh, we just want to see the range!
Anyone else blocking out their Friday to trawl through Harvey Nicks? Cool, cause same.
Counting down the days till the 8th….
